On the afternoon of January 9, 2024, the appointment ceremony of Tim Broyd was held in Chongqing Ronghui Grand Hotel. Tim Broyd, the Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, Director of Institute for Digital Innovation in the Built Environment and Professor of The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction at University College London, was appointed as the Distinguished Professor and Honorary Co-director of SuDBE Centre. The head of SuDBE Centre, Professor Baizhan Li and Professor Runming Yao presented the appointment certificates to Professor Tim Broyd.
Professor Tim Broyd has maintained an active engagement in the development and deployment of BIM techniques for over a decade, is Vice Chairman of BuildingSmart (UK) Ltd and sits on the UK Government's BIM Task Force. He is responsible for a 'foresight' input to the UK Government's developing strategy for construction as well as leading the strategic planning of the UK's development and implementation of BIM. The appointment of Tim Broyd as the Honorary Co-director of the Centre is of great significance to strengthening the centre's international scientific and technological cooperation, top-notch talents cultivation and overseas platform construction.
