On November 6, 2025, Professor David Edwards, Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, was invited to visit SuDBE Centre at Chongqing University and delivered an academic report titled "Water Recycling and Reuse—Opportunities and Challenges." Over 30 representatives of staff and students from SuDBE Centre attended the lecture and the lecture was chaired by Professor Li Baizhan, director of the centre.
